We are a New York State licensed family home day care.
General Information
Terri's Tots is located in Hawthorne NY.
We are located within walking distance of Hawthorne train station. Easy access off Bronx River and Taconic State Parkways.
ALL household members are fingerprinted by westchester child care council the fingerprints are on file with New York State.
We are licensed to care for infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers, and after-schoolers. We are able to care for 10 children plus 2 after school children. We are a mother (30 years experience) and daughter (9 years experience) team. We have current excellent references available.
We are able get children off and on bus in Mt. pleasant school district.
Our morning Pre-school program
We will be starting back the second week of September (Monday September 10th with the Letter Aa) with our pre-school program. Each week will be doing themed lesson plans, crafts, colorings, cooking, etc.
From Sept-June we spend time with our lessons teaching abc's, 123's, colors, shapes, cutting, writing, site words, animals by site and sound, introduction to musical instruments, beginner computer skills, and more.
ALL included in price. No need to have nanny/babysitter and send child to pre-school. We offer it all here.
What we offer
All meals and snacks for kids on table food, indoor/outdoor play, AM Pre-school program, crafts, water play outside, music (listening to music and instruments to play), reading, ride on toys, cooking for kids, computer time, circle time, crafts, singing, play kitchen, play workbench, puzzles, limited tv-time, cribs and mats for naptime, help with potty training, beginner sign language and much more.
Meal and Nap Schedule
We provide ALL meals and snacks.
Breakfast 7:00AM
Mid morning snack 9:30AM
Lunch 12:00
Afternoon snack 3:45PM
Afternoon nap 12:45-3PM (infants on individual schedule)
We follow USDA guidelines for all meals and snacks.

Hours of Operation and Rates
We are open 7AM to 6PM, extended hours available.
Part time rates are: $10 per hour not to exceed full time rate.
We do have a 15 hour minimum for part-timers.
We are open year round. We only close for major holidays and 3 weeks vacation. Dates closed for entire year are posted in mid-Feburary on the calendar page.
Full time rates are:
$185-$200 per week (school age)
$210-$235 per week (ages 4+)
$215-$240 (ages 2-4)
$225-$250 ages(infant-2yrs.)
Rates are dependent on hours, days, and age of child.
average rate per week is $230-$240 a week and rates are negotiable.
Our pets
This is a home day care facility. We work out of a full basement. Our family has 2 small dogs. We have a bichon-poo that weights about 13 lbs and a Collie/German shephard & more mix that weights about 40 lbs. They are not permitted in the play area. There is a gate (and door if needed) keeping them out. If needed (By request) they can be locked upstairs in rooms during drop-off and pick-up times. The children have no direct contact with the dogs during the day. Our outdoor play area for the kids is not in the same area we let the dogs out to do their business.
